The work of the III International Exhibition of Weapons Systems and Military Equipment “KADEX -2014” has been concluded.
The event held on 22 – 25 of May this year on the grounds of military section of Astana International Airport brought in participants from 208 foreign companies, 54 official delegations from 28 world countries. Six exhibition pavilions and open sites presented over 300 full-scale test weapon systems and equipment in five focus areas. These were: Armament and Military Equipment of Land and Air Forces; Aviation and Air Weapons, Air Defence Means and Systems; Special Facilities and Equipments; IT-technologies and Communication Systems; Military Logistical Technical Equipment. 92 enterprises from Kazakhstan presented at the exhibitions the products for military purposes. For the first time “KADEX” was visited by “Boeing”, “Sikorsky”, “General Atomics” which are the leaders in this business segment.
During the exhibition the Land and Special Forces demonstrated light weapons and ammunitions as well as the aviation equipment. The formal business programme envisaged the meeting of governments’ deputy heads in charge of defence industry complexes of the CSTO member-states, Business Council meeting of CSTO ICEEA and Coordination Council on exhibition and promotion activities.
Overall outcomes of exhibition resulted into conclusion of contracts, memorandums and agreements for the amount of approximately USD 2,6 bln.
Daily involvement in “KADEX” equaled to over 10 thousands of specialists from Military Forces, enforcement and special authorities from the Republic of Kazakhstan and in total over 45 thousand visitors attended this exhibition.
Special attention was captured by the parade of high-professional military orchestras from neighboring countries and beyond. The informational coverage of “KADEX – 2014” was ensured by 200 journalists representing over 40 mass media from Kazakhstan and abroad. The essential outcome of “KADEX-2014” is the setting of the products range for the next purchases and additional conditions for the development of defence industry complex of Kazakhstan as well as enhancement of military technical cooperation with the leading manufacturers of weapons systems and military technical equipment.
